Adulthood in preterm infants low fertility

Published on March 26 of the United States Medical Association Journal published a research article about how the baby was born that, compared with term infants, premature mortality, lower fertility after an adult.


Background information on the article shows that prematurity refers to babies born at 37 weeks after fertilization. In survival in infants born at 26 weeks, 60% disability occurs; in babies born at 31 weeks, 30% will be disabled. In addition, people on long-term risk of death in preterm infants and know very little of the overall health status.


Experts from the Duke University Medical Center of the study, aimed at determination of the long-term survival of premature infants, birth and preterm birth rate will have an impact on the next generation. Researchers on the 1967 ~1988 years from Norway over 1.16 million people\'s data was analysed, and continued to track to the end of 2002 as well as born on 1967 ~1976 years of educational attainment and fertility results were evaluated, which continued until the end of 2004.
